Unable to get the ancestral tendon hard, feeling weak and losing strength midway—remember these three medicinal herbs.
Many patients didn't know how to exercise restraint when they were young, relying on their naturally strong bodies and pushing themselves too hard, ultimately depleting their health. Now, when it truly matters and they want to perform, they find they can't muster the strength. Even when they manage to get hard once, they quickly lose it. What's even more distressing is that while the desire is clearly there mentally, the body just doesn't obey. Over time, this issue can start to affect the relationship between spouses.
If you also suffer from this problem, and often feel low-spirited with your head hanging down, frequently sighing, feeling as if there's a heavy stone pressing on your chest, experiencing pain and bloating under the ribs, constant ringing in the ears, and weakness in the waist and legs, it’s likely due to stagnation of liver qi and deficiency of the kidneys. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is said that the liver governs free flow, and the kidneys store essence. When liver qi is not flowing smoothly and kidney essence is insufficient, qi, blood, and yang energy cannot ascend properly. As a result, the ancestral tendon (referring to the male genitalia) does not receive adequate nourishment, making it difficult to achieve or maintain an erection, or causing it to fail midway.
At this point, don’t rush to take medication randomly. You can try boiling Astragalus, Dodder Seed, and Bupleurum to drink. Astragalus is a classic herb for tonifying qi, helping to lift your energy and give your body strength. Dodder Seed can both tonify kidney yang and benefit kidney essence, specifically targeting kidney deficiency. Bupleurum is excellent for soothing the liver and relieving stagnation, helping to regulate blocked liver qi. Using these three herbs together can both tonify the kidneys and strengthen yang while soothing the liver and regulating qi, making them especially suitable for those who experience both liver stagnation and kidney deficiency.
The preparation is also simple: take about 10 grams of each herb, rinse them clean with water, add them to a pot with an appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes. Drink one or two cups daily, and after a while, you’ll notice gradual changes in your body, increased energy, and a more harmonious marital life.
