Stomach problems caused by anger? Open the "exhaust valves" on your body and let the stomach issues disappear on their own
Friends! We often hear TCM practitioners say that "most stomach problems are caused by anger." What exactly does this mean? Today, I’m going to have a chat with you all about it and share a super practical little tip!
We are constantly on the go every day, and high levels of stress can easily lead to pent-up frustration and anxiety. Over time, your Liver Qi becomes like a rope tied in a "dead knot"—completely congested! In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is said that "the Liver belongs to Wood and the Spleen belongs to Earth." When Liver Qi stagnates, it’s like the roots of a large tree growing crookedly and damaging the surrounding soil (the Spleen and Stomach), causing the Stomach Qi to fall into chaos. This is when issues like acid reflux, heartburn, stomach pain, bloating, burping, nausea, and a total loss of appetite all come knocking at your door.
Don't panic! I’m going to teach you a simple and effective method—massaging the Danzhong point! This acupoint acts like the "exhaust valve switch" of your body. Spending a few minutes massaging it before bed can help release all that pent-up frustration in your chest, and it is incredibly effective for regulating stomach issues!
Finding the point is super easy: the Danzhong point is located right in the middle of the line connecting your two nipples. Every day, use the pad of your finger to rub it in a clockwise motion for 3 to 5 minutes. Breathe slowly while massaging and don't use too much force. If you stick with it for a while, your Liver Qi will flow smoothly, your Qi and blood will circulate, and that discomfort in your stomach will gradually ease away!
Traditional Chinese Medicine emphasizes syndrome differentiation and treatment—different symptoms require different formulas to cure the illness. If you have similar conditions, the first step is to look at the tongue coating. Send over a photo of your tongue and your symptoms, and I will provide a free consultation to determine the general direction for your recovery.
