Essence and blood are the foundation of a man; use these four herbs properly to tonify both essence and blood
Let’s talk about a man’s “root” and “foundation” — essence (jing) and blood. Essence and blood are the life energy of men; they are related to reproductive development and vitality.
When a person’s essence and blood are abundant, their spirit is full and they have energy for everything. But when essence and blood are deficient, problems arise and the internal organs suffer; you may feel weak all over, dizzy and with tinnitus, wake frequently at night to urinate, experience sore loins and aching back, and even possibly erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.
What to do then? Don’t worry, I’ll give you a tip. There are four herbs—Shu Di (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata), Gou Qi (Lycium barbarum), Bai Shao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) and Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis)—they are good helpers for jointly tonifying essence and blood.
Among them, Shu Di and Gou Qi specifically tonify essence, and can make your vitality more vigorous; Bai Shao and Dang Gui, on the other hand, tonify blood and can improve your complexion. Each of these four herbs has its own characteristics, but they can complement each other to help nourish essence and blood and harmonize Yin and Yang together.
If you want a simple and convenient way to condition yourself, remember these four herbs. They are like the “small motor” of your body, able to refuel and energize you, giving you sufficient essence and blood and vibrant spirit! However, taking medicine should still follow your doctor’s advice, don’t experiment on your own. The body is the capital of the revolution; we must take good care of it!
