Feeling a Decline in Performance? Boil These 3 Herbs for Water, Nourish Both Qi and Blood, and Help You Regain Confidence!
Many middle-aged male patients who come to see me often mention that they feel a bit inadequate in their marital life. Despite having the intention in their minds, their bodies just don't perform when it matters. They often struggle with either insufficient hardness or duration that's worryingly short. Many have secretly tried various remedies, only to find they don't quite work, which leaves them feeling extremely anxious.
Why does this happen? In the view of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the liver governs the ancestral tendon. If you're usually under a lot of stress, tend to worry excessively, or often suppress anger, liver qi can easily become stagnant. This impedes the smooth flow of qi in the body, making it difficult for qi and blood to adequately nourish the ancestral tendon. Over time, without sufficient nourishment from qi and blood, the ancestral tendon is prone to problems, leading to issues like poor hardness and short duration.
Today, I’ll share a simple method with everyone—boiling water with three herbs: Chinese angelica (Danggui), astragalus (Huangqi), and codonopsis (Dangshen). Astragalus (Huangqi) is known for tonifying qi, and when qi is sufficient, it provides the driving force to promote blood circulation. Chinese angelica (Danggui) tonifies and activates blood, helping qi and blood flow within the body. Codonopsis (Dangshen) strengthens the spleen and boosts qi, aiding the body in better absorbing nutrients.
When combined, these three herbs not only tonify both qi and blood but also avoid being overly heavy or cloying. They are suitable for those who often feel fatigued, lack energy, or experience the aforementioned sensitive issues. By brewing a pot daily and drinking it like tea, you can gradually replenish your qi and blood. When the ancestral sinew (zongjin) receives adequate nourishment from qi and blood, it can naturally return to a normal state over time.
However, it’s important to remind everyone that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) emphasizes individualized treatment based on each person’s constitution. Even if two people experience similar issues like premature ejaculation or poor hardness, their underlying constitutions may differ, leading to variations in treatment. In short, when men reach middle age and encounter minor physical problems, there’s no need to panic, but it’s also essential not to self-medicate recklessly.
