III. Blockage of the Lower Jiao—Aging Quickly

The lower jiao mainly refers to our liver and kidneys. The liver stores blood, and the kidneys store essence. Blood and essence nourish our five zang organs and six fu organs. When the lower jiao is obstructed, the five zang organs lose nourishment, leading to decreased energy and premature aging.

[Manifestations]: Soreness and weakness in the waist and knees, lack of strength, difficulty remembering things, dry and blurry eyes, poor vision, sleep disturbances, leg cramps at night, and thick tongue coating at the root of the tongue.
